Lapsed Agnostic – John Waters

There is only one thing missing from this book and that’s a big Hurley. I would have used it a lot, every time I read something and felt like smacking people about the head and screaming “See, I told you so”. Mr Waters has my deepest thanks for putting into words many of the experiences of the last forty years and so eloquently. I have an older sister who I remember writing to with great enthusiasm after having read M. Scott Pecks A Road Less Travelled. She replied expressing her gladness at my having “found someone who agrees” with me. So I found myself liking his descriptions of times past. More so for the reassurance it provides me that it wasn’t just my imagination or indeed a sort of madness.
